As the community knows, we were able to reach our goal and increase our prior Jog-A-Thon net results by 500%. However, we had to utilize an outside company, Boosterthon. In November, we asked for volunteers to try to reduce and/or eliminate our dependence on Boosterthon. After several requests, we have been able to gain the help of six people within the community. At this point, we can reduce our package with Boosterthon so that we can keep at least 65% of all funds raised. This is about a 10% savings from last year.
Whether we use Boosterthon or another outside company, there will always be outside costs such as an online donation system, PA system, prizes, etc. However, we feel that we could even reduce our dependence further and potentially keep at least another 10% on top of the above savings. In order to do this, we want to make one last request to the community for more volunteers to join the Jog-A-Thon committee. With another ten volunteers, we can obtain further savings.
